Jo
Schmitz, A Hair Salon and Day Spa owner by profession
began her journey with LaStone Therapy in August 0f
1998, when Mary Nelson, the founder was in Wisconsin
teaching an original stone massage workshop. Mary was
invited to stay with Jo while teaching.
It was then that Mary noticed the photos that adorn
the walls of her home. Photography has been a passion
and a hobby of Jo's for many years, Mary recognized
this in the photos that she saw and asked Jo if she
could take some photos of the stones for her.
Jo's photos have represented LaStone Therapy
throughout the world. A portion of her photos have
